End of Summer (?)

Summer has come to an end, finally… but has it really? The heat still feels like in the middle of summer.  Every summer seems to be hotter than the last.  Is there a way to reverse this Global warming?

It was one normal summer afternoon. It was around 5 PM, temperature is still as hot as it could be. I went home to drop my bag then left again to buy some stuff. As I have cleared the curve, I saw thick smoke about a hundred meters ahead of me. My eyes followed where it was coming from. The smoke was quite unusual, it was like “heavy smoke” It doesn’t seem to rise into the atmosphere, rather it goes back to the ground. I could see the road behind it. I have to get through it though. And I did.

Say NO!

The Congress should be the voice of the people. Now a number of them are looking forward to put GMA on the seat of the Speaker of the House. Does this really echo the voice of their constituents?

Do the Representatives that you have just elected recently echo your voice? Let your true voice be heard. If you don’t want GMA on to be the next speaker of the hous, repost this article and the picture below, in your facebook, friendster and other social networking site, in your blog or in any other sites.

Beating the Summer Night Heat!

Good for those who sleep in an air conditioned room and they will suffer in this very hot summer! Unless the power goes down and they don’t have a back-up generator, then they too will feel how hot the summer nights these days .(…that doesn’t sound right)

Question is, what would you do to beat the heat? It would seem a shower could give only temporary relief from this heat.

Vote Not For Sale!

I don’t really dwell on politics so much, but on the 10th of May, 2010. People are going to elect again the leaders of this country. At this point let us be reminded that only during this very rare occasion that we hold the future literally in our hands! 

I challenge everyone to make a stand! DON’T SELL YOUR VOTES!

BrownOut!

Last night’s power outage was ultimately outrageous! It was around 11 p.m. when I woke up … sweating in the middle of one hot summer night! I looked at the window, at first I thought it was almost dawn already, but when I looked at the time on my mobile phone, it was only around 11 o’clock and probable it was the moon, that’s almost full, that lights up the cloudy night sky.

USB / flashdisk virus

Before anything else… technically these so called viruses that get transferred through usb or flashdisks are worms or other form of malicious softwares (malwares) and not technically viruses (although when I talk about this to other people I refer to them as virus too … for easy reference and I don’t have to explain myself what the heck is a worm)

Most, if not all, of  the time this type of malware infects your computer if you insert your flash disk to an infected computer then the malware will write a copy of itself into the flash disks along with the the file autorun.inf.  Then when you insert your flashdisk to your computer and open it, the worm will be activated and infect your computer too. Can this be avoided? The answer is difinitely YES!

Avoiding the spread of your worm is very easy and you don’t even need an anti-virus or anti-malware to do this. All you have to do is change the way you open your flash disk!

Summer is here… this means beaches, pools, vacations and other fun stuff…

Frankly speaking, i wish I could do all those this year… however, more important thing for me these days is how to beef up my wallet… so I can do all those things heheh…

Blue Moon

Shall we see the moon turn blue this 31st?

I think not. The term Blue Moon could be reffered to the second full moon within a month. I could remember that we had a full moon at the beginning of March, (or was it really on the 28th of February). And the moon is about to turn full again this 31st.

This is a very rare ocassion of having two full moons within a month… I suppose this is the origin of the phrase “Once in a blue moon”.
