Falling Forward
April 4, 2008Your past doesn’t define your future!
-Bo Sanchez
In one of Bo’s teachings, he said, that in order to succeed, one must learn to fail forward. Meaning, if one must fail, he must learn to stand up and learn from that failure.
I have just realized that in all these years, I have already known this principle. On the physical aspect at least.
Having been an avid practictioner of the Japanese martial arts known as Aikido, I remembered the very first thing they teach the students. How to fall!
Yes! For those who have seen the movies of Steven Segal and yet have experienced or been to an actual Aikido practice, the very first thing you will learn is how to fall safely!
You see, in Aikido, some techniques requires to throw your partner. And if one does not know how to fall properly, just imagine how many injuries he might have. However, if you already know how to fall safely, you can take the fall, not without pain, but with minimal pain and no injuries. In fact, you can then stand righ back up and be ready to thrown down again.
What I failed to realize was, I could apply this principle in life too. Hey! no one can avoid failure in life! The most important thing is, one must learn how to pick himself up again, ready to face the next challenge!

No apologies from him though *sigh*. and he still has other plagiarized article though, (the information he posted was copied from a forum)
The other one, well.. I think he should say goodbye to i.ph within the week if he won’t delete it.

Hi, Saw that you mentioned “Bo Sanchez” if so - you might be interested to reserve your Nov 28-29, 2009 for a chance to hear him live/see him/have your books signed at the Araneta Coliseum for the once in a lifetime event “Dream Big, Win Big”.
It’s a big learning event about “dreaming big in your life and using your core gifts to follow your dream”. Yes it’s a catholic event, there’s mass and worship but there’s also a lot of singing and dancing and comedy as well as the huge message on big dreams. See you or your friends there!
Thanks
Ana
