6 Months and Going
December 22, 2008Six months today and still going … and going strong!
I’m talking about my relationship with my girl. Yes, past 6 months we have been going steady, with only minor bumps in our relationship. Well there was a big one and its because of the lousy service of SM*** Telecomucations in which her message did not reach me at all!!! Ugh!! But it was settled right on the next day.
;)
I’m Back
September 1, 2008Its been a few months since my last entry. (Whew!)
So many things have happened in my life lately. Mostly unexpected and unplanned… some are even quite the opposite of my plans. Some were good some were …. well not so good.
First, the not so good things that happened…
1. Our business is temporarily closed, until we can find another source of income and supplement our capital … well perhaps start all over again.
2. Some of my planned projects was discontinued.
3. My ex girl is still not willing to talk with me. I don’t think that she ever will again
4. I am living on my own now — ALONE — in the house that my parents have built for me.
5. Three monthsago a thief was able to hook my pants which was hanging at the back of my door, which was at least 3 meters away from the french window of my room that he was able to open while I was sound asleep in one rainy night. Then a month after that someonebroke into my house in broad day light and took the money I left there in case of emergency including my 25C collection!!! To bad for him or them though, I left only about P800 in cash.
6. I’m still buried neck deep in debts.
Now for the Good part
1. I have a new girlfriend and were doing great for almost 6 months now.
2. I have a new job - teaching secondary students in one of the private schools here. (Hmm .. there’s a lot to tell about this job)
At least with the new job, comes:
- steady income
- new friends
- new experiences
- new insights
3. Last June, I was able to go to Cebu to personally give my wedding present to my best bud there. Although I wasnt able to attend his wedding.
3. After more than six months I was able to blog again!!! I missed blogging.
This is it for now, I hope could post more often.
Happy Blogging
Minor Accident
May 8, 2008Yeah, I got into a minor accident just an hour ago.
I was on my way back to the cafe on my motor bike. I was driving slowly, thinking if I should make a detour or not. when this a**hole suddenly, withOUT making a signal, made a u-turn right in front of me. I hit my breaks! It’s holding, but not enough to stop me completely from hitting that other guy.
I had two choices… I let my momentum carry me and hit him or I drop my bike and avoid a collision. I suppose, my instinct took over. I leaned left while turning my bike hard to the right. I dropped on my left knee and intinctively and used my left hand blade break my fall. I stood up instantly, I checked my self for injuries, none visible, though I thought my knee is bruised a bit.
Another guy on a bike stopped besides me and asked me if I’m ok. Seems like it. I yelled at the other guy and told him he was not suppose to make a u-turn there, (it was less than 10 meters from an intersection, and there used to be a no u-turn sign). The second guy told him that it was his fault, aside from making an illegal u-turn, he did not look first before he made that turn.
Hmm.. I think I amazed my self this time that I a bit calm all that time. I felt no anger, Though I wish these bikers should learn and respect the traffic laws and stop being a show off… I see a lot of these bikers in this city lately. and often on modified and probably unlicensed bikes. I hope the city government would do something about this.
Another thing, I guess all those years in training Aikido has paid off. I would have probably fallen on my side if it wasn’t fo my instinct.
Falling Forward
April 4, 2008Your past doesn’t define your future!
-Bo Sanchez
In one of Bo’s teachings, he said, that in order to succeed, one must learn to fail forward. Meaning, if one must fail, he must learn to stand up and learn from that failure.
Presentation
March 6, 2008After a few days of almost sleepless night, I was called yesterday by the secretary of the school chancelor of the State University here and informed me that I will be given time to make a presentation regarding the Student Information System that I have proposed to their institution, on their council meeting today at 9 AM.
At first I thought, "Finally, they responded". However, I realized, I don’t have done any presentation! So I tried to contact my partner on this particular project, but I wasn’t able to talk with him until mid-afternoon.
"We need to make a presentation for tomorrow!" I told him.

Fall in this Place
February 17, 2008I fell in love with this song the very first time I heard it (just a few minutes ago.
Fall In this Place
by: Planet Shakers
Verse1
Take me to the place Lord
Where there’s nothing else but me and You
Longing for Your presence
I know that You are calling me to You
Pre Chorus
Here I stand
And long for Your embrace
Nothing else
Could ever take Your place
Chorus
Come Holy Spirit
Fall in this place
I need more and more of You
Fill me again with the power of Your Spirit
Lord I’m crying out for
More and more of You
Bridge
Lord I’m crying out for
More and more of You (Oh)
Heat!!!
February 7, 2008February has just started and it already feels the best of summer already! I remember Februrary to be one of the coldest months of the year… I guess the weather getting wilder every year.
My felt the effect of this heat… I felt my lips getting dry earlier.I opted to drink Rush. It’s suppose to replace my body fluid faster than water. But I guess it’s a bit too late. My sinusitis is acting up already. I should have taken more water this morning.
Hmm .. Yeah, weather is getting wild alright. I have just completed the first paragraph when it started to rain. A welcome change though… Now it’s pouring.
I just hope I won’t catch a flu tonight.
College Days Nostalgia
January 27, 2008Although, my college days is not that exciting as compared to others, those days, I consider, are the most important part of my life. Living away from. Together with others from different parts of the country… speaking dialects that were alien to me at that time.
The place was Cebu, and on my 2nd year of college, I have just tranfered to one of the best univerisities in that city (perhaps one of the best in the country). Though I was born and grew up in another part of Visayas, at that time, I don’t speak their dialect. However, I found the dialect was easy to learn (for me at least). After a few weeks or so, I was already able understand and speak well– with the help of other Ilonggo’s as well (Ilonggo or Hiligaynon is my native tongue). I opted to occupy a room by myself in my first boarding house, so I don’t have deal with a stranger then… besides I have always loved to be alone.
